Because productive workers make our economy stronger, your financial gift to Goodwill Industries will keep growing! By supporting local programs and services, you will assist individuals with obstacles to employment in your community to become economically and personally independent through work. There are many ways to provide financial support, and your gifts and bequests are tax-deductible.

How Your Donation Helps Create A Better Community:

  • $50 helps a person learn job seeking or customer service skills through 8 hours of training

  • $100 gives someone the opportunity to receive 16 hours of computer training

  • $250 offers a job seeker five one-on-one job search sessions

  • $1,000 makes available 64 hours of computer literacy classes for two people, covering four subject areas, and a career counseling session for each person

  • $2,500 provides an individual with intensive job training and placement services for three months, and follow-along services for six months

How to Contribute:

  • Major Donor - An individual can become a member of the Founder's Circle by pledging a minimum gift of $1,000 annually.

  • Bequests - If you are drafting or revising a will, consider naming Goodwill of Central Virginia as a beneficiary of your estate. This is a meaningful way to continue your legacy of supporting quality employment services to the disabled and disadvantaged in our community.


  • Honorary & Memorial Gifts - What better way to salute friends, family, and loved ones than by making a donation in their honor or memory? A Goodwill associate will gladly notify the honoree of your generosity.


  • United Way Campaigns - Central Virginia residents may designate Goodwill of Central Virginia to receive funds through private, local, state, and federal United Way Campaigns.


  • Monthly Donor Program - You can authorize Goodwill of Central Virginia to make monthly gifts of a set amount through automatic billing to your credit card company. One simple form is all it takes. Contact us

  • Matching Gifts - Most companies offer as part of their benefits package a matching gifts program that will match in whole or part your donations to nonprofit organizations. Contact a Goodwill associate or your human resource officer for more information. This is an easy way to double the impact of your gift.
